Korean Government just announced the new law for 1 year period from 26 Aug 2025 to all foreigners buying Korean housings. There will be a high possiblity to continue in the future. And it might be with more restrictive requirements in the future.
All Foreign investers to buy Korean housings (Except Residential officetel Apartment) should get permissions first from Korean government before buying.
It effects all areas in Seoul, and Gyeong-gi province.
The requirements to foreign investors are as follows;
-Foreigners who will buy need to get permisssons from Korean government first.
-Once they buy, they must move in within 4months and should stay at least 2 years. (It also meanas that the buyers cannot rent before the 2 years past
